Around 13:30 a landslide fell and landed on Vilborg Diljá Jónsdóttir’ and Davíð Kristinsson’s house. Diljá reckons that when she evacuated the house the mud had reached up to a window that faces the mountain. The couple runs Hotel Aldan and they fled to the hotel with some of their belongings, as well as their cat.
