A group of specialists visits Seyðisfjörður for two days and works at salvaging, sorting, and disposing of museum holdings according to the freshly approved sorting and selecting schedule

Lilja describes the process like tidying up, where it was hard to find every item a spot. They sorted and selected, they were also in contact with other museums such as the Museum of Design and Applied Art, Reykjavík City Museum and the Vintage Auto Museum to check if those museums had similar items and whether they would be interested in those items. Lilja talks about an incident where an item was found and they discovered that the Vintage Auto Museum had 5 identical items so they decided to discard it. During the trip Freyja, Lilja and a team of 5 or 6 people managed to clear our Angró. Pétur Sörensen and Elsa Guðný were also there. Lilja says that she experienced the importance of the museums connecting and communicating, in the context that everybody can’t collect everything because such a small nation can’t afford that. Lilja is incredibly pleased with the cooperation during those trips.
