The landslide was still covering the sides of the house, and they were removing the soil from the house so that the reason for the leak could be discovered. “Water just continues to leak into the house. I have come here ten times already to pump water out of the house,” says Davíð, but it looks like water is leaking in between the floorboards. “I’m not a civil engineer, I’m just a man in boots who walks about and tries to help out.” Davíð’s vinyl records were among the things that were destroyed. “For example, I can see my Bubbi collection here. All the records are signed by my friend. I will mourn for them for a long time.”
