Sumardagurinn fyrsti er haldinn hátíðlegur á Íslandi og er almennur frídagur. Oft er ansi vetrarlegt á þessum degi þó hann boði betri tíð.
The first day of summer is celebrated in Iceland and is a public holiday. Often the weather is quite wintery on this day, but in Icelander’s minds the day still bodes for better weather.

Skólaslit og lokatónleikar tónlistarskólans – skólaári barnanna lýkur með hátíðlegri og gleðilegri athöfn sem alla jafna hefur verið haldin í Seyðisfjarðarkirkju. Nokkrum dögum áður spila tónlistarnemendur á tónleikum sem stoltir foreldrar og ættingjar mæta glaðir á.
End of school and the final concert of the music school – the children’s school year concludes with a festive and joyful event that takes place in Seyðisfjörður Church. A few days before, music students perform in concert where proud parents and relatives happily attend.
